And so it begins. Chowderfest is upon us at the Black Whale. Sunday the restaurant competes in an annual chowder cook-off competition. This is our third year in the competition. So far we’ve won second and third place but have yet to lay our claim on the first place trophy. The restaurant that we are trying to take the number one spot from has won 10 years straight or something close to that. We are going to make approximately 200 gallons of chowder which will have close to 2000 clams in it. Wish us luck!
