When I was taking some photos the other day I found this spider crab shell sitting on top of a blacktopped roof.  Its life cut short by a seagull grabbing and dropping it on the roof to get to its tastiness.  It must of been up there for a long time because the sun has bleached the shell to a photogenic whiteness.
