Today was another flea market day. Saw a woman carrying her scores on her head. You don’t see that everyday here in NJ. I was impressed.
What a great catch!
That is a great slice of life! LOVE the box on her head. I am perplexed by the train cars, though. At first I thought wow, all that and a train going by to boot. But then I realized it appears you can see through those oval openings, so that maybe they aren’t actually cars after all. What’s up with that?
Looking at some of the other pictures I took of her, it appears the train is not moving. That would of been a bonus.
What I like best about the shot is the person glancing over at the woman with the box on her head–how perfect that you caught their “double-take”! The open cars on the train are for transporting wood. Newly cut wood is full of moisture and you don’t want that moisture getting trapped in a closed car or it would warp the wood. Open cars allow for airflow.
Thank you, Lynn! My husband and I were talking about that last night. Glad I came back and checked for more info.
